How does iD security work?
iD has a multi-level security system that allows administrators to determine the different types of access and permissions a user will have within the intranet system. E.g. viewing, creating, editing, deleting and approving content. This flexible security model enables you to deploy basic or sophisticated publishing protocols for all levels of staff, creating the intranet model that suits your organization.
Does Intranet DASHBOARD integrate with Active Directory?
Yes, iD integrates with Active Directory (AD). With AD security enabled, users are automatically authenticated when accessing iD.
What methods of authentication are there?
iD has several methods of front end user authentication including:

Login - All users must enter login details via a web-based form before they can access the website. Users must be added as website users in the admin of Intranet DASHBOARD by an administrator or self registration can be enabled. No anonymous access will be available under this security mode. This security mode is most widely used for extranets or where AD is not available. Login mode uses iD’s own inbuilt user management system.

Login on Demand - Similar to Login mode, although by default all users are first logged into the website anonymously. A user can then choose to login at any time with their website user login details via a web-based form and then access secure areas restricted to their account. This security mode is most commonly used when most information is made available to all computers on the network but some sections are locked down to specific users (e.g. Members Area). Login on Demand mode uses iD’s own inbuilt user management system.

Active Directory - When the web server is part of a Windows domain, user credentials are automatically passed to Intranet DASHBOARD when they first visit the site within each browsing session. Users may be part of the same domain, domains within the same forest or part of trusted domains. Security can then be assigned to areas of the website based on AD users, groups and domains.

The Trial Version of iD has a Wiki set up and ready to go.

This model can be applied at multiple levels (i.e. per-page, per-folder, per-subsite) across multiple publishing roles (i.e. contributors, editor, full control, etc.). This flexible security model enables organizations to deploy basic or sophisticated publishing and approval protocols for all levels of staff.
Are customizable templates included? For example, is it possible to define a logo to be included on each page?
